Founded in 1889 in Kansas City, Missouri, Unity is a movement of positive, practical Christianity. Unity teaches the effective, daily application of the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ, and we promote a way of life that leads to health, prosperity, and joy.

Unity teaches that the spirit of God that lived in Jesus Christ lives in every person. We all have the potential to express the perfection of Christ, as Jesus did, by being more Christ-like in everyday life.

Unity is not a sect or separation of people into an exclusive group, but rather, a vehicle for instruction, inspiration, meditation, and prayer support for spiritual seekers, regardless of their religious affiliations.

Unity has now grown to over eight hundred Christian ministries in the U.S. and over one thousand worldwide.
