Founded in 1889 in Kansas City, Missouri, Unity is a movement of positive, practical , progressive Christianity. Unity teaches the effective, daily application of the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ, and we promote a way of life that leads to personal well-being, dynamic balance with the world around us, and joyful service.

Unity teaches that the spirit of God that lived in Jesus Christ lives in every person. We all have the potential to express the compassionate perfection of Christ, as Jesus did, by allowing Holy Spirit to express through us in everyday life.

Unity is a powerful  vehicle for spiritual transformation. Through prayer and meditation, education and inspiration, sacred service and joyful fellowship, we create opportunities for spiritual seekers, regardless of their religious affiliations, to realize their oneness with the Divine. We form thriving spiritual communities that allow us to work together in co-creating a world that works for all!

Unity has now grown to over eight hundred Christian ministries in the U.S. and over one thousand worldwide.
