On February 15, 2009 Unity of the Seacoast officially welcomed Robin Clark as our new Spiritual Leader. Robin had been an occasional guest speaker over the years, served as a consultant for our developing Youth and Family ministry, and was hired in June, 2008 as our Acting Spiritual Leader. Robin is a life-long Unity member. She has an extensive history of service to numerous Unity churches. She was employed by Fox Valley Unity in Batavia, Illinois for ten years as the Director of Youth Education (with additional duties for one year as the Business Manager.) When she and her husband, along with their three children and two dogs, relocated to New Hampshire in 2002, she accepted the position of Director of Education and Family Ministry at Unity on the River in Amesbury, Massachusetts. In this large and dynamic ministry, Robin worked with both adults and youth, assisting with worship, education, and church management functions. During her sixth year in Amesbury, she felt a calling to help grow the Unity movement in New England. After repeated guest speaking engagements in the area, she found her home here at Unity on the Seacoast! Robin reports that in her Unity work, she draws heavily from both her academic training as well as her past business career. She majored in Psychology at Barat College in Lake Forest, Illinois and received her Master’s degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California. She worked as a Vice-President of a temporary and permanent employment service in downtown Chicago for twelve years. Combined with a lifelong commitment to community service in the arts and human services, Robin has a diverse background that enriches her passion for all things Unity! |
